Dressing your pet can be a fun and thoughtful way of showing affection and giving attention to your pet. Like humans, pets can also enjoy the attention they receive from having a new and fresh outfit. There are many options when choosing apparel, from functional winter coats to novelty holiday costumes. Knowing how to measure your pet, what to avoid, and how to best keep your pet comfortable will help you make the best decision possible for your pet’s apparel.

1. Don’t force the pet into clothes

It is very important to understand the needs and size of your pet. This, it is necessary to look up for the best size that could fit it. The cloth has to be removed easily to avoid injuries when it is take off.

2. Choose Clothes That Won’t Cause Harm

Also, check the material is the cloth that you want to wear them. Thus, if your cat or dog have much fur, the cloth must be very light to not warm it.

4. Choose Clothing Made for Pets

Clothing made for pets is designed to be safe, without small parts that could be harmful if chewed or removed. Some fabrics are better than others, even if the piece is pet safe; very loosely woven fabric can snag nails while thick fabric may cause your pet to feel overheated.

5. Get a Proper Fit

A piece that is too large could pose a hazard if your pet gets entangled or trips over the excess fabric, while a piece that is too small can restrict movement and cause discomfort.
